University web sites
This page summarizes my contributions to department/program web sites at the University of Illinois. This role started as a visual design position and evolved to include frontend coding, client communication, and project management.
Web development/design for a state institution presents a unique set of challenges, as accessibility compliance is required by law. All of our sites were also cross-browser compliant to as far back as IE7. The University also had strict identity adherence standards.
Underpinning the structure of all our sites was the need for a robust CMS, not only in site content editing but also in the integration of user-edited biographical directory system for faculty and staff.
Modern Greek Program
Design
Identity and site design for the new Modern Greek program at the university. The aesthetic had to encapuslate the sentiments of "Modern" and "Greek," which inspired me to create the image of Atlas holding up a metropolitan globe.
